An unexpected fight to the finish line recently broke
out between Hennessey's supped-up Cadillac V650 Wagon and the Porsche 911. The
spirited competition took place at the industry-revered Nürburgring circuit. And,
we at Diamond Auto Group - 768 Washington St. (RT. 20) Auburn, MA 0150 - are
proud to report that the unsuspecting family station wagon easily held its own
against Germany's finest. In fact, the results show that Cadillac actually beat
Porsche by .1 seconds!
Before entering the fight, both cars went through a
few modifications. The Cadillac V650 Wagon gained an upgraded 650-horsepower
(hp) Hennessey engine and drag radial tires. The Porsche 911, on the other hand,
ran with a 997TT stock 480-hp engine. The difference in hp alone might seem
like a clear advantage for the Cadillac V650. The sports wagon, however,
carries a grand more in curb weight than the Porsche and was fitted with a
simple automatic transmission. The Porsche 911, on the other hand, had a
twin-turbo TripTronic.

If you're an avid thrill seeker like some of us at Diamond Auto Group, you might want to consider a Hennessey Cadillac V650. With 650
bhp @ 6,200 rpm, the upgrade package certainly includes a lot of bennies. For those of you who crave power, but think
the Hennessey Cadillac V650 is going just a little bit overboard (like others
at Diamond Auto Group), you might just want to stick to the standard Cadillac
CTS-V.
