Chevrolet is a brand known for supporting the military. This support takes the form of everything from a military discount and special edition vehicles to participating in assistive programs. Many companies do their part to serve the military, but few are willing to go as far as Chevrolet does. Here are just a handful of ways Chevrolet serves the military.
Hiring Our Troops
Transitioning back to civilian life can be difficult, but Chevrolet is working to help make that transition easier. Last year, General Motors partnered with more than 100 local employers to host a massive job fair at Comerica Park in Michigan.
General Motors is a national sponsor of the Hiring Our Heroes program. There are more than 14,000 veterans working at General Motors facilities. In all, the program has helped more than 500,000 veterans find jobs since it began in 2012.
Chevrolet Military Discount
The Chevrolet brand takes pride in supporting the military. The Chevrolet Military Discount is one way that active duty members, reservists, and National Guardsmen can get a great vehicle and save some money at the same time.
The discount is available for veterans within one year of their discharge date. Retirees of the United States military, spouses included, are eligible for the discount as well. All you have to do is register an account, get your discount code, and visit a participating local dealership.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Special Ops Edition
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Special Ops Edition was introduced as a concept in 2015. Now it has made its way to the production line. The special edition model boasts a number of unique design touches, including naval-inspired graphics, deep-tinted windows, and a bed-mounted Sport Bar with Specials Ops signature.
The Silverado 1500 Specials Ops Edition is the result of Chevrolet’s partnership with the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida. The partnership will increase the number of resources available to the families of fallen, injured, and active duty military personnel. Efforts are directed through the Trident House Charities Program.
Wreaths Across America
Chevrolet is always looking for ways to go above and beyond to honor fallen military personnel. The automaker recently did just that by supporting Wreaths Across America, an organization that placed more than 700,000 wreaths at military graves in 2015.
Chevrolet provided a fleet of vehicles to ensure their mission was a success. Several decorated Chevrolet Silverado pickups and Suburban SUVs led the charge from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in December 2015.
Chevrolet dealerships and employees donated more than 13,000 wreaths along the way.
Diamond Auto Group is dedicated to serving the military in any way we can.
